Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Sales Support
Specialist to join our growing team. This position provides administrative, operational, and
coordination support to the sales and provider relations functions, helping ensure that our
sales team and provider partners have the information, resources, and support needed to
operate effectively.
The Sales Support Specialist will work closely with the Senior Sales & Provider Relations
Specialist, sales leadership, provider offices, and internal teams to support provider
onboarding, insurance and copay assistance processes, account maintenance, sales
resources, and other commercial initiatives.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This individual should have strong attention to
detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive working
relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Commercial Support
• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the sales team and
Senior Sales & Provider Relations Specialist.
• Assist with maintaining accurate sales-related information, account records,
spreadsheets, reports, and tracking tools.
• Support the preparation, organization, and distribution of sales materials and
resources.
• Assist with sales initiatives, projects, presentations, and other commercial
activities.
• Coordinate follow-up items and help ensure sales-related tasks are completed
accurately and within established timelines.
• Assist with maintaining organized sales documentation and account information.
Insurance & Copay Assistance Support
• Assist with copay assistance program setup.
• Gather and verify information required for copay assistance enrollment and related
processes.
• Assist with insurance updates, ensuring patient and account information is current
and accurate.
• Review information for completeness and identify missing or inconsistent data.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or obtain outstanding
information.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking related to assigned activities.
Administrative & Operational Support
• Perform accurate data entry and maintain records across multiple systems.
• Assist with monitoring work queues, spreadsheets, reports, and other operational
tracking tools.
• Maintain organized documentation and ensure information is updated in a timely
manner.
• Follow established workflows, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Handle sensitive patient, provider, insurance, and business information with
professionalism and discretion.
• Assist with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, sales support, customer
service, medical office administration, insurance, specialty pharmacy, infusion
services, or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn new software systems and processes quickly.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
• Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
• Professional and customer-service-oriented approach when communicating with
provider offices and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience working in a healthcare, specialty pharmacy, infusion, or
